The Korean Martial Arts School opened by Master Hee Wk Kim. Master Kim began his training at the age of 3. Master Kim holds a Ninth-degree black belt in Kum Do, Sixth-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and Ninth-degree black belt in Hapkido. He had a studio in Seoul after a career as a bodyguard to the Korean Government officials and dignitaries. Master Kim was a member of the Korean Special Army and assigned the duty of instructing the Special Army in Hapkido/Self defense. He also served as bodyguard to the President of South Korea.

Master Kim won the Korean National Tae Kwon Do Championship in 1992. He has been teaching Martial Arts for 20 years and currently owns schools in Gaithersburg and Frederick, Maryland. 

Master Kim is the President of the U.S. Korean Kum Do Federation, President of the Korean Hapkido Federation and  holds other honors for training and black belt achievements. At Korean Martial Arts, we not only teach technique, we build character through inner-strength, courage, vision, respect, and discipline. The spiritual side of martial arts is not ignored.

Master Kim is a Member of the USA TaeKwonDo (USAT, formerly USTU) and the World Tae Kwon Do Federation.
